DPRD Plenary Meeting Ratifies 2020 Revised APBD by Rp 63 Trillion

SKPD and BUMD must prioritize the implementation of a number of activities relate to the economic recovery

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) in the plenary, Monday (11/16), had ratified the draft bylaw on the 2020 revised city budget (APBD) to a bylaw worth Rp 63.23 trillion.

The meeting itself was attended by Jakarta DPRD Chairman, Prasetio Edi Marsudi; Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan; and Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria.

Commission B Chairman Abdul Aziz said that the legislative gave important notes as suggestions and input during joint legislative discussions with the Regional Budgetary Team (TAPD).

"SKPD and BUMD must prioritize the implementation of a number of activities relate to the economic recovery of areas affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and programs that are in direct contact with the community according to the agreed budget," he expressed.

Therefore he wanted the synergy and communication between the executive and the legislative to be improved, especially to accelerate the handling of various problems in the midst of society.

"Every program that is in direct contact with and involves residents is funded by the APBD needs to be coordinated with the legislative as a representative of the people," he explained.

In the meantime, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan uttered that the executive would work optimally to pursue the target of absorption of the 2020 revised APBD, which reached Rp 62.23 trillion.

"InsyaAllah, we will be able to implement in the last 1.5 months. All activity plans and notes will be used as materials for future improvements," he stated.
